Over the past few months I have been working on a commissioned portrait of Mrs Margie Burnet Ward, the retiring headmistress of Wycliffe College in Gloucestershire.
Mrs Burnet Ward has been headmistress for a very long time and lives and breathes the college, as became clear during our sittings in her office. It was a very enjoyable process as we had many shared interests to talk about. On her last ever ‘Speech Day’ (celebratory last day of school) the painting was unveiled to staff, governors and parents. It will hang in Wycliffe Hall, amongst portraits of former headmasters. I wish Mrs Burnet Ward all the best in her new life in the North and thank her for a wonderful experience.

Hi Vicky, I don’t think your comment quite made it as nothing is visible. Hope it was a good one! 😉
